Need your IBM Planning Analytics analysis in Excel? Export the current cube view or generate multiple detail views using a context dimension. In the video, each selected company gets its own worksheet.
The short answer
Click Export in the cube view. Choose the current view or also select a context hierarchy, such as Company. Combine the worksheets in one Excel file and start the export.

Choose the export scope
Click Export. Without an additional hierarchy selection, you export the current view. Select Company as a context hierarchy to create a detail view for each selected company. Check the displayed count.
Export and check the file
Choose to combine all worksheets in one Excel file. Start the export and open the file. Check the worksheet tabs, data source and a sample of values.

The video first exports the full Company selection. It then uses the Europe set to limit the export to six companies.

Any questions?
Can I export only the current view?
Yes. Do not select an additional context hierarchy for bursting. The current data selection is then exported.
How do I limit the export to a set?
Select the required set in the relevant dimension before exporting, then check the selection in the export dialog. More about private and public sets.
Can I put the worksheets in separate files?
Yes. When exporting multiple view instances, you can choose one combined file or multiple files.
