Want to add values or compare them quickly? A member calculation adds a calculated result to your IBM Planning Analytics cube view. You do not need to write an additional cube rule.

Select the required row or column members, right-click and open Calculation → Member calculation. Choose the operation and confirm. The video adds the values for 2025 and 2026.

Create the member calculation
Right-click to open the calculation menu and choose a member calculation. Select an operation, such as addition, and optionally enter a descriptive name.
Use or remove the result
Confirm the calculation and check the result in the view. You can reposition the calculated member in the set editor. To remove it, open its context menu and choose Remove calculation.

Right-click the calculated member and choose the option to remove the calculation.
