Prepare a nested view

Want to show every quarter for plan, but only the fourth quarter for actual? Target selection lets you choose specific combinations in a nested cube view, keeping different periods visible for each version.
The short answer
Enable Target selection in the toolbar. Hold Ctrl and select the version-and-quarter combinations you need. Then right-click and choose Keep.

Why not use the regular quarter selection?
A symmetric selection shows the same quarters for every version. Target selection lets you keep specific combinations and create an asymmetric selection.
Are hidden values deleted?
No. Keep restricts the displayed selection. Values that are not shown remain in the cube.
Is there a keyboard shortcut?
You can also enable target selection with F7. Hold Ctrl while clicking to select several combinations.
