Upload the file and check the preview
Open the cube import menu and drag your CSV file into the upload area. Check that delimiters, headers and columns are recognised correctly. The video loads sales figures into a Sales cube.
IBM PLANNING ANALYTICS · CUBE VIEWS · DATA IMPORT
Need to load a prepared CSV file into your cube? In IBM Planning Analytics Workspace, use the import dialog to upload it directly. Check the preview, decide how to handle existing data and map the file columns.
Open the menu for the target cube and choose Import data. Upload the file, review the import options and map the columns to the dimensions and data values. Start the import, then check the results.
Open the cube import menu and drag your CSV file into the upload area. Check that delimiters, headers and columns are recognised correctly. The video loads sales figures into a Sales cube. Check whether any data should be cleared before loading and whether incoming values should overwrite or accumulate with existing values. Choose the clearing scope carefully: an entire cube covers more than the currently visible view. Map each dimension to its source column and select the column containing data values. Start the import. Review the updated-cell summary, then refresh the cube view.

IN PRACTICE
The video uses a file already structured for the cube. Even with a simple file, these settings determine the result.
The dimension columns identify the target cell. The value column supplies its numeric value or text.
Check whether nothing, a specific view or the entire cube should be cleared. Back up any required data before clearing it.
Overwrite replaces existing values. Accumulate adds imported numeric values to existing cell values.
COMMON QUESTIONS
For simple, manageable ad hoc imports from prepared files. For recurring loads or precise clearing of existing data, use a TI process designed for that workflow.
Not automatically. Do not clear only controls the preparation step. If Overwrite is selected for loading, cells addressed by the import can still receive new values.
IBM lists membership in the TM1 database ADMIN group as a requirement for this cube import workflow.
