Scenario:
Mouseover displays dimension name, hierarchy name and technical element name by default. This information is not always technically helpful.
Result:
Instead of the technical details, only the desired alias is displayed in the mouseover. This makes the display easier for business users to understand.

In IBM Planning Analytics kannst du jetzt deine Tooltips individuell konfigurieren. Tooltips sind die kleinen Infos, die erscheinen, wenn du mit der Maus über ein Element fährst. Diese und noch zwei weitere Neuerungen aus Version 2.1.19 habe ich in einem kurzen Onepager zusammengefasst. Der Link dazu ist in der Videobeschreibung. So änderst du deine Tooltips: Öffne deinen Cube und fahre über einen Elementnamen. Standardmäßig siehst du die Dimension, die Hierarchie und das Element selbst.
Genau diese Anzeige kannst du jetzt anpassen. Mach dazu einen Rechtsklick auf den Zeilen- oder Spaltenbereich und wähle „Quickinfo konfigurieren“. Jetzt bekommst du alle Attribute der Dimension zur Auswahl. Ich nehme hier zum Beispiel den deutschen Alias und klicke auf OK. Wenn ich jetzt wieder mit der Maus über das Element gehe, siehst du statt des technischen Namens direkt den verständlichen Alias. Gerade bei komplexen Modellen mit vielen Attributen oder Mappings kann dieses neue Feature die Arbeit vereinfachen.

You can now configure your tooltips in IBM Planning Analytics. Tooltips are the small information panels that appear when you hover over a member. I have summarised this and two other enhancements from version 2.1.19 in a short one-page guide; the link is in the video description. To change a tooltip, open your cube and hover over a member name. By default, you see the dimension, hierarchy and member.
You can now configure this display. Right-click the row or column area and select Configure tooltip. You can then choose from all attributes of the dimension. In this example, I select the German alias and click OK. When I hover over the member again, the descriptive alias appears instead of the technical name. This feature can make work easier, particularly in complex models with many attributes or mappings.
